Hand-turned wooden vessel with a softly barreled silhouette and incised banding around the neck and base. Carved from a single piece of wood using traditional lathe-turning techniques, with a metal-fitted base secured by hand-set tacks. Age has worn the surface to a pale, sun-bleached patina. Exact origin unknown. A sculptural piece for a shelf, mantel, or console. Decorative use only.
